Rome in Golf Cart was one of the first companies to put tourists in electric carts on Rome’s cobbles and, at our last check, still publishes the lowest shared-cart prices in the city. The business trades as ROMEPLUSULTRA SRLS with travel agency licence no. 10268, has operated since 2012, and is fronted by its owner-guide Ivano. The office is on Via dei Funari between the Jewish Ghetto and Largo Argentina, but every tour includes pickup from your hotel.
The pitch is simple: cover more of the centre than you could on foot, in alleys and courtyards coaches never see, with a guide who talks the whole way. The company markets the format to couples, families with children, seniors and anyone who cannot walk far, and carries folded wheelchairs and pets. Tripadvisor listings show the same products in US dollars (from about US$57 for the night tour to US$94 for the cruise day) with free cancellation on the platform.

The Tripadvisor listing sits at 5.0 from about 1,770 reviews and is ranked first among outdoor activities in Rome at our last check. Reviewers repeatedly name individual guides, praise how little walking is needed in summer heat, and mention back streets and courtyards they would not have found on foot. Flexibility is another theme: groups say the route changed to suit what they had already seen.
There is no consistent negative pattern in the visible reviews. The general caveats of the format still apply: traffic noise on the main avenues, and the walk from cart to monument at pedestrian zones. Ratings change constantly, so check the live score for the tour you plan to book.
Booking and cancellation
Book on romeingolfcart.com, by phone or email, or through Tripadvisor, Viator and GetYourGuide where the company is listed. The official site does not state a cancellation window; ask when booking and get it in writing. Marketplace bookings carry the platform’s policy, typically free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start, which is the safer route if your plans may change.
Give your hotel address at booking, wear a jacket for the night tour even in summer, and expect the cart to seat up to five or six passengers depending on the model.
