About AllTours Rome

AllTours Rome is a small independent editorial site that compares tickets, tours and tour operators in Rome. We are not the official site of any attraction or booking platform. We earn a commission when you book through our partner links, at no extra cost to you, and we say so on every page where it applies.

Disclaimer

This is not the official website of any attraction, museum or tour operator mentioned. AllTours Rome is an independent editorial guide. Prices, opening hours and policies are quoted from the official sources and partner platforms at the time of checking and can change without notice. Bookings are completed on partner websites, which may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you.

Who we are

AllTours Rome is written by a small independent editorial team: travel writers who have visited Rome repeatedly over many years, and a researcher based in Rome who checks entrances, opening hours and prices on the ground. We do not publish individual bylines. Nobody on the team works for a museum, a tour operator or a booking platform, and none of them pays us to write.

The site launched and is operated from the European Union. There is no office open to the public and no phone line. The only contact channel is support@alltours.rome.it.

What we do

We compare the ways of getting into Rome’s attractions and the ways of seeing the city with a guide. For each attraction we look at:

  • the official ticket: price, what it includes, where to buy it and how far ahead it sells out
  • skip-the-line and timed-entry options on booking platforms, and what the convenience costs
  • guided tours, from large groups to private, with typical prices and durations
  • the practical details: which entrance, which metro stop, what to bring, what is closed on which day

We also review tour operators that work in Rome. A review summarises what the operator offers, what travellers report on public review platforms, and how booking, cancellation and support work. We name the review platform and give an approximate score. We do not invent numbers.

Prices are verified against the official ticket office or the operator’s own site, and each page says when that check was done, for example “at our last check”. A figure we could not confirm is flagged for verification, not guessed.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell tickets. Nothing is bought on this site. Booking happens on GetYourGuide, Tiqets or the official ticket office, under their terms.
  • We do not host user reviews. There is no comment section and no rating a visitor can leave. Reviews of operators are editorial and written by our team.
  • We do not represent any venue, operator or platform. AllTours Rome is not the official site of the Colosseum, the Vatican Museums, the Borghese Gallery or any other place we write about. Trademarks belong to their owners.
  • We do not sell listings. An operator cannot pay to be reviewed, to rank higher or to have a criticism removed.

How we make money

The site earns affiliate commissions. Every partner link passes through /go/ and carries rel="nofollow sponsored". When you follow one to GetYourGuide or Tiqets and complete a booking, the platform pays us a percentage. You pay the same price you would pay by going to the platform directly.

That commission is the only income at launch. It does not decide what we recommend: we cover free sights, official ticket offices and options that pay us nothing, and we say when the official ticket is the better buy. The full explanation is on the affiliate disclosure page.

Editorial standards

  1. A date on every fact. Prices, hours and booking rules change often in Rome. Each page carries an updated date, and statements about prices or hours say when they were checked.
  2. Official source first. We check the venue’s own site or ticket office before any third-party listing. The sources used are listed at the bottom of each page.
  3. Unverified means flagged. A writer who cannot confirm a figure marks it with an internal verification tag. The editor removes the tag only after checking the figure against an official source, or removes the claim.
  4. No paid content. We accept no payment, free tours or gifts in exchange for coverage. If that ever changes, the page concerned will say so at the top.
  5. Corrections by email. Write to support@alltours.rome.it. We correct factual errors, refresh the updated date and reply to the person who reported the problem.
  6. Photos with licences. Images come from Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons or public-domain licences and are credited on the photo credits page.

Why English and Italian

Most readers arrive from outside Italy and search in English. Italian readers, residents of other regions and Italian-speaking visitors, have different needs: free days for residents, EU 18–25 discounts, official Italian names. The Italian pages are adapted for that reader rather than translated word for word. Both versions are checked against the same sources on the same dates.
