Our partners
At launch AllTours Rome has two affiliate partners: GetYourGuide (getyourguide.com), a marketplace for tours, activities and tickets, described on our booking with GetYourGuide page; and Tiqets (tiqets.com), a platform for museum and attraction tickets, described on booking with Tiqets.
We have no affiliate relationship with any venue, official ticket office or individual tour operator. If we add a partner, this page will name it.
How the /go/ links work
Every partner link points to an address on our own domain of the form /go/<key>/. When you click it:
- Our server replies with a 302 redirect to the matching page on the partner’s site.
- The redirect adds our partner identifier to the address, so the platform knows the visit came from AllTours Rome.
- If you book and the booking is not cancelled, the platform pays us a percentage of the price.
Every /go/ link carries rel="nofollow sponsored", which tells search engines that it is a commercial link. The /go/ address shows in the status bar when you hover, so you can tell a partner link from an ordinary one. Links to official sites, transport operators and sources are plain links. For example, Rome tours and tickets on GetYourGuide is a partner link; the link to colosseo.it in the Sources of the Colosseum page is not.
Does it cost you more?
No. The price on GetYourGuide or Tiqets after following our link is the price you would see by typing the address yourself. The commission comes out of the platform’s margin, not your payment. We never receive your name, card details or booking; the platform only tells us that a sale was attributed to our identifier.
Does it change what we write?
It does not change what we recommend, and we take deliberate steps to keep it that way:
- We cover what pays us nothing. Free sights, free museum days, the EU 18–25 discount, official ticket offices and public transport all get full pages.
- We say when the official ticket is the better buy, and link the official site in the Sources section.
- Reviews of operators are not for sale. No paid reviews, no paid rankings, no removal of criticism, no free tours in exchange for coverage.
- Prices are checked against the official source, with a date, so you can see the comparison rather than take our word for it.
Commission does make us prefer, between two equivalent options, the one that can be booked on a partner platform. That is fair as long as you lose nothing, and we tell you when a cheaper or better option exists elsewhere.
How we choose partners
A platform must meet four conditions: the same price as booking direct; cancellation terms published on the product page; customer support that handles refunds and problems directly; and enough coverage of Rome that you can find what we describe. GetYourGuide and Tiqets meet all four.
Transparency statement
This disclosure lets you weigh our recommendations knowing how the site is funded, in line with EU consumer-law rules on commercial communications and with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidance on endorsements. Every page that contains a partner link is covered by this disclosure.
