What Enjoy Rome offers
Enjoy Rome is the kind of operator that predates the marketplaces. The Martella family, in the Rome travel business since 1930, founded it in 1992 on Via Marghera near Termini; the offices later moved to Via Cavour, with operational hubs on Via Vespasiano and Via Germanico a few minutes from the Vatican Museums entrance. Thirty-plus years on it is still family-owned, and it still answers the phone from 9am to 5pm every day.
The Rome catalogue is compact and priced for value: Colosseum, Forum and Palatine (with or without the Gladiator Gate arena entrance), the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, Rome by Night, Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto, a catacombs and Appian Way excursion, the Pope’s summer residence at Castel Gandolfo, and occasional special-interest walks such as Fascist-era architecture in EUR or a Caravaggio and Raphael afternoon with aperitivo. Private tours can be booked in ten languages. The company has also expanded to Florence, Venice and Naples.

Prices and group sizes
Enjoy Rome’s group prices (€35–100) undercut most established rivals, and the €35 Colosseum tour is cheaper than the flagship Colosseum tour on GetYourGuide at about €49. The catch is group size: standard departures allow up to 25 people, with a semi-private tier capped at 16. Twenty-five is at the upper end for the Colosseum and definitely large for the Sistine Chapel, where headsets are needed to hear anything.
The private tier is a different proposition. €1,500 for a 3-hour private Colosseum tour is well above LivTours (private early-morning Colosseum from €349) or the private Colosseum tour on GetYourGuide. Enjoy Rome’s private strength is language coverage rather than price.
What the price includes
The €35 Colosseum tour includes the guide, headsets and the standard 24-hour Colosseum, Forum and Palatine ticket, which costs €18 at the ticket office; in other words you pay about €17 for three hours of licensed guiding. The €84 Gladiator Gate tour includes the arena-floor supplement, which the official site sells only in limited numbers. The Vatican tour includes the museum ticket and reservation. The catacombs and Castel Gandolfo tours include coach transport from the Vatican-area hub and the site tickets; Castel Gandolfo also includes the papal villa entrance. Nothing includes food, hotel pickup or gratuities.
Under-18s enter the Colosseum free and EU citizens aged 18–25 pay a reduced ticket, so ask whether the tour price is adjusted for them; some operators pass the saving on, others do not. Bring the photo ID used at booking, as Colosseum tickets are nominative. The Vatican dress code (shoulders and knees covered) applies on the Vatican tour and on the Castel Gandolfo visit.
What travellers report
On the company site the two flagship products carry the review weight: the Vatican Museums tour at 4.93 from 605 reviews and the Gladiator Gate tour at 4.91 from 57. Enjoy Rome also surfaces in several Google Maps listings, including a separate Enjoy Rome Colosseum entry, where the pattern is mostly positive: knowledgeable licensed guides, punctual meeting points at the Vatican hub, good value.
The recurring complaints are those of any large-group format: 20-plus people in the Forum, guides who are audible only through the headset, and a pace set by the slowest walker. Several newer tours show three to six reviews, too few to judge. We did not find a pattern of refund or no-show disputes, but note that cancellation terms are not visible on the tour pages, so disputes would be harder to adjudicate.

Booking, cancellation and support
Book on enjoyrome.com or by phone (two booking lines, answered 9am–5pm daily). Confirmation is by email with the meeting point, usually at one of the Vatican-area hubs or at the Colosseum. The tour pages do not display a cancellation policy; the site refers you to the booking page or the office. Get the refund window in writing before you pay, especially for tours with pre-purchased tickets.
Support is a genuine strength: a physical office, Italian and English staff, and phone lines that pick up, which is rarer than it should be among Rome operators.

Enjoy Rome is the value pick among established Rome operators: a licensed 3-hour Colosseum tour for €35, a family business with a real office, and ten languages. Accept the 25-person standard groups, or pay for the semi-private tier, and it delivers. Confirm the cancellation terms before paying and skip the €1,500 private Colosseum tour unless you need a rare language. For a budget-conscious first visit, Enjoy Rome is hard to beat on price.
