The cancellation rules from the help centre are stricter than the big marketplaces: full refund only if you cancel within 24 hours of booking and the tour is more than seven days away; a refund minus the 10 percent fee if you cancel more than seven days before; no refund inside seven days or on last-minute bookings. Host cancellations are refunded in full.

Use it for food tours and neighbourhood walks with a well-reviewed host booked early; for the Colosseum or Vatican interior, or for dates that might move, book a licensed private guide through a marketplace with 24-hour cancellation instead.
