What the Rome & Vatican Card offers
Search for “Rome & Vatican Card” and you land on three different things. The first is the Omnia Card, the only pass that combines the Vatican’s own attractions with the city’s Roma Pass, run by Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi and sold through omniavaticanrome.org and resellers such as romevaticancard.com, which labels itself an official reseller. The second is Tiqets’ Vatican City Pass, a build-your-own bundle. The third is the Rome Tourist Card, a similar bundle that adds the Colosseum.
All three solve the same problem: booking the Vatican Museums and one or two Rome sites in a single checkout, with skip-the-line entry. Adds a 72-hour Roma Pass: unlimited ATAC public transport, entry to one or two Roma Pass sites (Colosseum, Castel Sant’Angelo, Borghese Gallery with reservation) and discounts elsewhere. Price; the reseller lists Colosseum entry “from €26” separately.
- Vatican City Pass (Tiqets) — from €71.50. You choose the Vatican Museums format (skip-the-line entry, hosted entry or guided tour), a St Peter’s Basilica format (reserved entry with audio guide, express tour, guided tour or dome), plus one of Santa Maria Maggiore, Castel Sant’Angelo or a Rome audio-guide app, and a 10% discount on other Tiqets bookings. Rated 3.9 from about 1,400 reviews.

Do the maths before buying. The official Vatican Museums ticket is €20 plus a €5 online reservation fee, and a standard Colosseum ticket is €18 (€24 with the arena floor). If those two are all you want, separate tickets cost about €45 and leave you free to pick times.
What travellers report
Across Tiqets reviews the praise goes to the convenience of one order and to the skip-the-line Vatican entry, which saves real time between March and October. The complaints follow a pattern: buyers who did not realise they still had to reserve a Vatican time slot, confusion between the pass voucher and the actual tickets, and Omnia 24h users who found that the hop-on bus and the two minor audio-guided sites added little value for the price. The 72h Omnia draws better comments from people who used the transport and the Colosseum entry on the same trip.

Booking and cancellation
Buy the Omnia on the official site or through Tiqets; collection for physical cards is at Piazza Pio XII 9 by St Peter’s Square (Monday to Sunday, 9:00 to 16:00, closed on Vatican holidays) or at the Lateran Palace collection point (closed Sundays). Tiqets passes are digital: select dates and participant numbers, pick the ticket variants, and the individual tickets arrive by email.
Cancellation terms differ by product and are shown at checkout. Passes that generate dated Vatican tickets are typically non-refundable once the slot is booked; reserve the Vatican slot only when your dates are fixed. Vatican Museums tickets bought directly on museivaticani.va are non-refundable, so the pass does not lose you flexibility you would otherwise have had.

Treat “Rome & Vatican Card” as a category, not a brand. The Omnia 72h with Roma Pass is the only true Vatican-plus-Rome pass and it pays off only for three busy days using the transport and the Colosseum entry. For most visitors the Rome & Vatican Card question has a simpler answer: book the Vatican Museums ticket directly or through Tiqets’ Vatican City Pass, buy the Colosseum separately, and skip the bus.
